The Alana King Project
Alana King, a Cadette Girl Scout and Franklin Regional Band student, started a drive to benefit the FR Band Program. Alana collected gently used instruments which were then cleaned, repaired, and donated back to the FR Band Program. These instruments will be loaned to students who wish to join the band each year, but who may not be able to afford an instrument rental.
If your child would like to begin an instrument in 4th or 5th grade but may not have the necessary means to do so, please contact Mr. Blumenfeld at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, if you, or anyone you know, has a used instrument at home that may be collecting dust, please consider donating it to the Alana King Project. Instruments may be dropped off at Heritage Elementary School. Please write "Alana King" on a piece of tape and attach it to the case.
Finally, many of these instruments need costly repairs and donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated.
If you wish to donate, please make checks out to FR Elementary Band, and send to Mr. Blumenfeld, the Director of Elementary Bands. Please specify on the check “Alana King Project.” Your support is greatly appreciated!
